What is Engage BA?

Connecting the Community to the Classroom!

Broken Arrow Public Schools strives to involve the community in our schools. The philosophy of Engage BA is an open-door policy welcoming community and business leaders into our classrooms. These partnerships create unique and real-world student experiences.

Businesses and organizations can connect to schools in a variety of ways - such as donating resources, time and expertise - to create a positive impact on Broken Arrow students. These partnerships promote a school culture in which students attend regularly, become knowledgeable about career opportunities in their community and develop a sense of responsibility for their community.

Did you know?

  • There are homeless families within Broken Arrow Public Schools
  • Over 30% of BAPS students are eligible to receive free or reduced meals
  • Each year, BAPS students receive assistance through our Holiday Wish List program

How can you help?

There are a number of ways in which to partner with Broken Arrow Public Schools and its school sites - such as mentoring students, hosting student interns, donating resources, time and expertise - to create a positive impact on Broken Arrow students.

To get connected, please contact Community Relations Coordinator Chase Elkins at celkins@baschools.org or 918-259-7473. He will connect you with a school site representative to determine the best fit between the school's needs and your organization's goals and availability.

Outstanding Partner Recognition

In an effort to thank our Engage BA partners who have gone above and beyond for their time and resources, it is our goal to provide special benefits for supporting Broken Arrow Public Schools.

If your organization is a current Project Pathways internship partner; has logged a minimum of 40 hours as a volunteer or mentor within the current school year; is a current sponsor of Bus-or-Treat, Back-to-School Kickoff, New Teacher Orientation or other districtwide events led by the Community Development office; and/or have made an in-kind or monetary donation of a minimum of $500 within the current school year, you are eligible for BAPS partner recognition.

Please complete the Engage BA Partnership form by June 30 each year and submit to Chase Elkins at celkins@baschools.org. Partners are eligible for the following benefits:

  • District social media spotlight
  • Able to distribute company flyers districtwide through Peachjar
  • Company logo will appear on the Engage BA flier the following school year
  • "Proud Engage BA Partner" decal for your place of business and your website

Thank you for your interest in partnering with Broken Arrow Public Schools!
