Early Childhood Program
The district's four early childhood centers serve Broken Arrow’s youngest Tigers through purposeful play centered on students' interests, reading, writing, mathematics, creativity and music. This all-day Pre-K program gives four-year-old students the opportunity to develop social-emotional, early reasoning and problem solving skills that lay a foundation for future learning.
Our goal is to preserve childhood learning experiences and foster the development of self-regulation skills which will help students achieve academic success in core curriculum as they advance through school. The students will progress through the developmental stages at their own rate of growth.
Each ECC is equipped with early childhood certified teachers and teaching aides who educate no more than 20 students per classroom.
Placement will be dependent on geographic boundaries for each ECC and site availability. Please note that transportation to and from the ECCs is the responsibility of the parent/legal guardian.

Kindergarten Program
The district's full-day kindergarten program supports the increased academic expectations in reading and math required by No Child Left Behind. It also allows teachers to use more appropriate developmental approaches while providing more individualized attention. This free full-day kindergarten program offered to all kindergarten students in Broken Arrow Public Schools better prepares our students for first grade and beyond. The district currently has 15 elementary schools within its boundaries.
Students must be five years old by Sept. 1 to enroll in kindergarten.
Curriculum
At Broken Arrow Public Schools we have aligned our curriculum with the standards listed on the Oklahoma State Department's website for each elementary grade level. This alignment is important, as it ensures a student in our school receives all necessary instruction in all content areas when progressing from grade to grade.
